Prices of Eggs Go Down in Azerbaijan

AZERBAIJAN - The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry's Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection Service continued monitoring to prevent artificial increases in egg prices.

Decreased wholesale and retail prices on eggs were observed, reports Trend.

The prices of eggs at wholesale sale centers is 0.11 manat, and 0.12 manat at retail centers.

Monitoring is underway.

Earlier, the price hit 0.30 manat in Baku.

Azerbaijani Poultry Farmers Society Chairman Aydin Veliyev said poultry farms import 90 percent of the country's feed. The society appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers to exempt poultry feed imports from VAT.
