Poultry Sector Growth Important, Says President
ARGENTINA - The country's President highlighted the importance of the poultry industry during her recent visit to inaugurate a new plant for Gran Tres Arroyos.

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner reported that Argentina has almost doubled the consumption of chicken between 2003 and 2011, as it has increased from 20 to 38 kilos per person, during the inauguration of the new plant of Gran Tres Arroyos Company in the Pilar district of Buenos Aires province.
Buenos Aires Herald reports that, during her speech, the Head of State highlighted the 'added value' of the poultry industry.
She said: "We need the businessmen's commitment," and highlighted the State's funds to support the industrial production. She added that in the framework of the Bicentenary project, the poultry sector was the second most important after the car sector.
