During VIV Russia, the group witnessed the local Aviagen LLC customer support team, joined by Aviagen specialists and Aviagen's President of European Business and CEO, in action on a very busy and popular stand and they were impressed with the company’s commitment to investing time and resource in the Russian market.

A visit to the flagship hatchery in Yasnogorsk highlighted the strength of Aviagen's supply network and this was followed by a tour of a customer facility, Yaroslavsky broiler farm. All this was combined with an interesting social programme, taking in some of Russia's main tourist attractions.

Zdenek Kristian, co-owner of the Czech company, Best Opava, said: "Thanks to Aviagen, I had this once-in-a-life opportunity to visit Russia. The trip was really worthwhile. In Yasnogorsk, I could see probably the best hatchery I've ever been to in my life. I'm sure that the superb technological and biosecurity levels I saw at Yasnogorsk will bring continued success to Aviagen in the Russian market. Also, the broiler farm visit in Yaroslav was very interesting for us. It was a very nice and clean farm with very good Ross broiler results. And last but not least – Aviagen's hospitality was great. Thank you very much for everything you have done for us."

Vlada Zima, Aviagen's Sales and Technical Manager for Czech and Slovakia, added: "At Aviagen, we believe in the spirit of partnership and working together across countries and regions. We therefore arranged this visit for our customer group to get first-hand experience of the Russian market and exchange experiences and insights with our Russian customers. This visit proved to be a resounding success and we are now, as always, looking at new and innovative ways to provide experiences and advice to our customers."
