Cobb Welcomes Czech Visitors to World Headquarters29 June 2011
ARKANSAS, US - A visit to the Cobb-Vantress headquarters in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, USA, provided Pavel Visek and Milos Zima from the Xavergen group in the Czech Republic with an insight into how the company is expanding to meet growing demand for the Cobb 500.
"Our guests saw why this bird is the favourite with integrators taking advantage of its ability to produce meat more cheaply using lower cost feed formulations," said James Truscott, director of Cobb Germany who accompanied the group with Lubor Skalka, technical manager in the Czech and Slovak Republics.
"They saw just how the US industry focuses on lowest cost with the Cobb 500 meeting these requirements."
The visitors discussed with Cobb’s senior management group the changing markets around the world and the company’s increasing investment in both research and production facilities, helping to secure the continuing advance in breeder and broiler performance. They also saw US production facilities in Missouri.
Mr Truscott commented: "I’m extremely pleased that our customer in the Czech Republic is achieving 141 chicks per breeder and sees the demand for Cobb broilers increasing so that more breeders are being placed."
