One New Farm Reports HPAI
BANGLADESH - One farm in the west of the country was found to have highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in June.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 34 dated 7 July to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The report describes a single outbreak on HPAI at Ilaipur in the division of Khulna, starting on 22 June. There were 1,100 birds on the farm, of which 231 died and 869 were destroyed.
The presence of the H5N1 sub-type of the HPAI virus has been confirmed.
