VIV/ILDEX: Top-Notch 2-Day Conference Programme

BANGALORE, INDIA - The organizers of VIV/ILDEX India 2012 have optimized the knowledge part within the event by staging a top-notch 2-day conference programme in parallel with the exhibition.

VIV/ILDEX India is the country’s largest professional "Feed to Meat" platform and is staged by VNU Exhibitions Europe and NCC Exhibition Organizer (NEO), together with Indian partner Inter Ads. Showdates are from 22-24 February 2012 at BIEC in Bangalore.

For the conference programme a wide range of topics has been selected, enabling professionals throughout the various parts of the production chains to improve their business for tomorrow. Farmers, investors, integrations and manufacturers can choose from technical best practices and key trends, presented by institutions and international suppliers. The tentative programme is as follows.

Official opening

During the Official Opening, key personalities from Indian national and state governments will share their latest vision on the Indian meat production and processing industries. A Special keynote will be presented by Rabobank, knowledge partner of VIV Worldwide. Nan-Dirk Mulder is the editor of Rabobank’s latest report: Crossroads for growth. The International Poultry Sector Towards 2020. Nan-Dirk Mulder will present both the main outcomes of the report and the likely impact on the Indian industry.

Further industry addresses are expected from:

Poultry master class

Following the successful Eggs! Event at VIV Asia, the organizers bring a Poultry Master Class to Bangalore. During one full afternoon, 8 international and Indian poultry personalities share their latest non-commercial visions and solutions during 20-minute walk-in sessions. Dr Piet Simons, moderator of both parts, is looking forward to the presentations already confirmed by Aviagen, Big Dutchman, DSM Nutritional products, Fancom, Marel Stork Poultry Processing, Moba, Pas Reform Sanovo and Salmet.

For this preview, already two themes can be disclosed. First, Aviagen’s Laboratory Manager Dr Kavitha Natarajan will present Biosecurity and Maintaining Flock Health in a Challenging Environment. Big Dutchman’s Philip Dye will exchange his ideas on The Indian future for table egg production and broiler meat production.

Feedtech-Croptech

VIV introduced Feedtech-Croptech during its 2011-events. For the first time, VIV/ILDEX India will put the feed manufacturing industry in the spotlight. Besides a complete exhibition pavilion, there will also be a Conference. CLFMA of India, one of the key supporters, will bring in a selection of Indian speakers who will address major challenges in the feed industry. There will also be an international influx of quality speakers. Bühler AG from Switzerland, Idah from Taiwan and Andritz from Denmark have confirmed their participation. To give an example, Bühler’s Stefan Hoh will present Feed safety and sustainability in poultry feed production.

Boosting the animal protein intake

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation of The Netherlands joins hands with the National Meat & Poultry Processing Board regarding the organization of a 4-hour conference. Not only will speakers address poultry issues. You can also expect to learn a fair bit on the latest issues for India’s pig, buffalo, goat and sheep industries.
