WPC 2012 Extends Deadline for Scientific Abstracts

BRAZIL - The 24th World Poultry Congress (WPC 2012) will extend the deadline for submission of best scientific abstracts to 31 January.

Submissions were opened on September 2011 and would be closed on 13 January, but now the students and researchers that were no able to register their abstracts on time will have another opportunity to participate in this event, which is considered the most important of the poultry industry.

Those interested should register their abstracts in one of the three following categories determined by the organization of the WPC 2012: Student Programme: aimed at under-graduate and graduate students up to 30 years old. Young Scientist: aimed at students that recently obtained their MSc or PhD degrees and are younger than 35. Scientist Programme: focused on researchers that do not fit in the above categories.

Organized by WPSA Brasil (WPSA Brazilian branch) co-organized by FACTA (Apinco Foundation of Poultry Science and Technology) in partnership with Ubabef (Brazilian Association of Poultry Producers), the WPC 2012 will be held on 5-9 August 2012 in the Convention Center of Bahia, in Salvador. The event is back in Brazil after 34 years.
