Russia Suspends Feed Additive Shipment from China

RUSSIA - The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast in sea border checkpoint "Baltiysky" suspended import of feed additive (60 per cent choline chloride) in the amount of 85,000 kg delivered in five containers from China last week.

The further movement of the shipment is suspended due to the Chinese VS failure to comply with animal health requirements for import of plant feeds for animals into the Customs Union.

The above mentioned requirements are approved by the CU Commission Decision No. 317 of 18 June 2010.

The veterinary certificate submitted by China does not confirm the freedom of the administrative region from peste des petits ruminants, classical swine fever, sheep and goat pox and highly pathogenic avian influenza during the last 12 months.
