HPAI Confirmed in Vietnamese Regions
VIET NAM - Dr Nam Hoang Van, Director General of the Department of Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has reported three new outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Quang Tri and Thanh Hoa.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 58 on Friday, 3 February.
A total of 3632 birds were found susceptible, out of which 1593 cases were reported. While 200 deaths occurred, 3432 birds were destroyed.
The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
