The Australian Quarantine Inspection Services fee is expected to increase from $3,000 to $15,000, reports ABC.

The Government says the fees will help AQIS pay for the cost of export inspections which has been subsidised in the past.

Executive director of the Australian Chicken Meat Federation, Andreas Dubs, says that no one eats chicken feet in Australia.

"It doesn't effect you know 10 to 20 per cent of our sales but it certainly leaves us in a situation where some establishment will have to just send those parts to render or for blood and bone, which clearly is very low cost."
