Newcastle Disease Outbreaks in Hazafon

ISRAEL - The Israeli veterinary authorities have reported two outbreaks of Newcastle disease in Hazafon, affecting broilers and table egg layers.
The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received Follow-up Report No. 13 on Sunday, 25 March.
A total of 13286 birds were found susceptible, out of which approximately 1000 cases were identified. 250 deaths were recorded and 10250 birds were destroyed.
The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive and the epidemiological investigation is ongoing.
