Having issues related to health and sustainability, the meeting of the IPC will feature lectures by representatives of FAO, OIE and WHO to address issues such as zoonoses, control of Campylobacter and Salmonella and risk analysis for antimicrobial use. There will also be the FAO project for sustainable farming.

Mr Santin said sanitary control and sustainability issues are commonplace in industrial poultry production. The poultry industry has moved to take the lead in global consumption of meat, so it is essential that poultry producers are aligned in such matters, says the vice president of IPC.

Besides lectures and discussions, the IPC will promote the delivery of Generic Marketing Award, an award that recognizes the best marketing actions aimed at encouraging the consumption of poultry and poultry meat in each country.

UBABEF president, Francisco Turra and Market Relations Manager, Adriano Zerbini, are joining Mr Santin, on 30 March.
