WPC 2012: Economy & Marketing Tendencies for World Aviculture29 May 2012
BRAZIL - Economy and marketing related subjects will be the centerpiece of the XXIV World’s Poultry Congress. The event, which is considered to be the largest of the world, will take place from 5-9 August, in Bahia’s Convention Center, Salvador, Brazil. Among the various lectures from the Scientific Program of WPC 2012, five of them will be dedicated to market aspects.
The first will be about political/taxes barriers towards chicken production and commerce; the second, about econometric models to analyze the current situation and future Brazilian meat market tendencies; the third one, about restrictions to poultry production by non-science considering myths and world beliefs of aviculture; the fourth about the economic future of poultry, and the last one about meat and eggs international marketing.
WPC 2012’s Economy and Marketing Committee coordinator, Dr Gabriel Jorge Neto, explains that the discussions of these subjects is important for the professionals to find out whether they are taking the right measures to adequate to the changes this market has been facing. He believes the participation in the event may help these professionals to deal with international market difficulties, consume saturation, new customers’ aggregation for the smallest price, population’s concentration and need to produce according to customers’ wish.
“Chicken is the second most consumed meat all over the world and has been responsible for the attachment of new consumers, mainly in the less provided social levels, collaborating immensely in combating the planet’s starvation. So, economical themes are also relevant for the evaluation and spreading of this market, which is quite useful for human development”, adds Dr Neto.
