Poultry Breeding & Broiler Production to be Discussed at WPC 2012

BRAZIL - The renowned veterinarian Antonio Paraguassu, an expert in Avian Pathology, will also participate in the 24th World Poultry Congress. His lecture will be about poultry breeding and broiler reproduction, with emphasis in incubation and genetics.

Dr Paraguassu will discuss different aspects of incubation and genetic improvement that affect day-old chick quality and their relation with the performance of commercial layers.

He considers those subjects highly relevant for the poultry market, as it has experienced significant changes in the last few years particularly because poultry product have allowed the increasing global population to have a better and more balanced diet. He also stresses that the significant role of Brazil in this scenario, as it is a major chicken meat exporter and may still expand its commercial egg production and processed egg products.
