GLOBAL - Maersk Line has launched a new web site for its refrigerated services for a whole range of goods, including meat and poultry.

Maersk Line brings unrivalled expertise to the world of reefer transport. The company began doing refrigerated transport back in 1936, and today, it is the biggest player in the industry.

This means, over the years, Maersk Line has invested in equipment and innovation. Today, it has the largest fleet, including the newest state-of-the-art reefer containers, as well as the most comprehensive global network.

Its dedicated team of reefer specialists help ensure that your goods reach their destination in peak condition, using their in-depth knowledge and practical know how to provide the best transport solution for all your cargo.

As well as standard (20-foot and 40-foot) refrigerated containers, the company’s value–adding technological advances include:

  • Super FreezerTM technology – provides temperature management down to -76°F/-60°C
  • StarCareTM and StarFreshTM – providing controlled atmosphere service, for a better quality product and a prolonged shelf life for a wide range of chilled commodities

In addition, Maersk Line considers the environmental impact of transporting cargo. Shipping refrigerated cargo can be 25 times more CO2-efficient than moving it by air. Maersk Line is already one of the most CO2-efficient shipping companies in the world, having cut its emissions by 15 per cent per container moved between 2002 and 2008. By 2017, the company plans to reduce emissions by a further 20 per cent.
