Quick Action Contains Mexico AH7N3 Virus - Monitoring Continues
08 August 2012MEXICO - The National Health Service, Food Safety and Food Quality (SENASICA) has reported that based on the timely implementation of the National Device Emergency Animal Health (DINESA), the number of farms in the region of Los Altos Jalisco with the presence of avian influenza AH7N3 virus has remained at 41 - Like the last week, while the number of free rose from 335 to 360.
The agency confirmed that the outbreak is contained in the Los Altos region of Jalisco Converge, whose farms are now under surveillance.
After that the 87 field health officers working in the area obtained multiple samples from more than 400 farms.
