Egg, Poultry Production Increases in Turkey

TURKEY - Poultry meat and egg production is increasing in Turkey, according to the latest statistics from the Turkish government.

Egg production increased 1.9 per cent in July when compared to the previous month and increased 16.8 per cent when compared to the same month of the previous year.

The number of slaughtered chicken increased eight per cent in July when compared to the previous month and increased 11.6 per cent when compared to same month of the previous year.

Chicken production increased 4.1 per cent in July when compared to the previous month and increased 9.5 per cent when compared to same month of the previous year.
