Held at Forge Hotel, St Clears, all NFU Cymru members are invited to the meeting which will begin at 7.30pm and features two guest speakers: Christopher Dickinson, NFU Poultry Adviser and Justin Scale of Capestone Organic Poultry Ltd.

Mr Dickinson will present the NFU Costings Survey results and will discuss recent market trends regarding consumer preferences and seasonal production figures. Mr Scale, Capestone Organic Poultry Ltd, will provide an overview of his organic turkey business and the meeting's sponsor BOCM Pauls will present up-to-date information on feed issues.

Clare Morgan, NFU Cymru Poultry Board Chairman, will also be present to discuss any issues members have within the poultry sector. She said: “We are very grateful to both Chris and Justin for agreeing to come and speak at the meeting and also to BOCM Pauls for sponsoring the event. This meeting will help poultry producers in the run-up to the peak selling season. I hope we get a good turnout of Welsh poultry producers.”

A free buffet will follow the meeting. Members wishing to attend should contact Leisa Bevan at NFU Cymru on 01982 554200 by 3 October to book their place.
