Poultry Industry Renews Export Plan

BRAZIL - An agreement between Brazil’s Poultry Union and the Export and Investment Promotion Agency will provide over R$5 million to be allocated to commercial promotion actions.

The Brazilian Poultry Union (Ubabef) has announced the renewal of the Brazilian Chicken Sectorial Project, maintained in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex), reports Brazil-ArabNewsAgency.

The agreement provides for R$ 5.187 million to be invested in actions to promote Brazilian chicken abroad, up until 2014.

According to the organisation, Apex has increased its share in the project from R$ 2.719 million to R$ 4.053 million. The agreement includes the manufacturing of promotional material, advertising, support to the participation of companies in fairs such as the Gulfood, in Dubai; workshops in foreign countries, aid to entry into new markets, information collection, and initiatives during the 2014 World Cup, which will take place in Brazil.
