State FOA Director, Shamsuddin Mat Rani said the entrepreneur, Rosdi Daud, has invested RM300,000 on the project while the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro Based Industries the remaining RM800,000 on the project.

"This is the first such closed chicken farming project created by the LPP with the cooperation of an entrepreneur in the Kemaman district," Shamsuddin told Bernama after an opening ceremony for the closed poultry farm at Kampung Pengkalan Ranggon Kerteh in February.

Bernama.comreports that State Assemblyman for Kemasik, Ir Rosli Othman, officiated the event.

Shamsuddin said under the investment, two poultry farms, each measuring 40×400 feet will be set up to breed chickens.

Apart from providing employment for several locals here, the project is also expected to benefit some 50 poor people listed under the e-Kasih programme.

Rosli Daud expressed confidence on the project, saying that it would be successful with the cooperation of the government.

It would also help when there is a shortage of poultry products during the festive periods, he added.
