Ukraine Lifts Ban on Estonian, Bulgaria Poultry Imports14 March 2013
UKRAINE - The Ukrainian State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service has lifted the ban formerly imposed on poultry products from Estonia and Bulgaria as a result of Newcastle disease in the two countries.
Kyiev Post reports that the International Epizootic Bureau has declared Estonia and Bulgaria free of Newcastle disease.
It is on this basis that imports have resumed.
The ban was introduced back in August 2008 for imports from Estonia and December 2008 for imports from Bulgaria.
