Customs Destroys Poultry Products in Ogun

NIGERIA - A total of 7072 cartons of seized contraband poultry products were destroyed and buried by the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) during the weekend.

Other items which include 365 bags of rice and vehicles worth about N50 million were paraded before newsmen at Idiroko on Friday, 15 March, Daily Trust reports.

The NCS Comptroller in the state, Prince Ade Dosunmu, who led the exercise said the service would continue to protect the lives of the citizenry from smugglers.

He said the contraband items were seized at different border points in the state within the past one month.
