According to ABC, some farmers say they're being raided once a month by activists who are damaging equipment and taking footage of farm practices.

The Victorian Government has been asked to step in and strengthen trespass and farming laws to enable authorities to punish offenders.

Brian Ahmed, from the state's Farmers Federation, says the situation is getting worse and activists are getting more extreme.

"Now we find that they are wearing masks and balaclavas, hiding their identities completely because they have taken it to another level," he said.

"It is not just about taking pictures any more. It is about damaging and disrupting farming."
