BRAZIL - The poultry market prices continue to fall, according to data provided by the Centre for Advanced Studies on Applied Economy (CEPEA).

This is mainly due to high availability of animals for slaughter and weakened demand for chicken meat.

Earlier this month, the Brazilian government announced a federal tax exemption on poultry products. According to CEPEA, this has not impacted demand.

In late February and early March, live chicken supply increased while prices dropped. Since then, the movement has remained low.
