New Appointment to Cobb Africa Technical Team27 May 2013
AFRICA - Jose Luis Losada Torres has joined the Cobb Africa team as broiler technical manager, moving from the Brazilian broiler industry where he has worked for the past 13 years.
For the past two years he has been with Pif Paf Alimentos S/A Goias complex responsible for their contract growers, technical team, bird catching and quality, and logistical planning for the abattoir.
He obtained a veterinary degree at the Federal University of Parana, and went on to gain an MBA in business management at Getulio Vargas Foundation and post-graduate qualification in poultry chain management.
“Jose brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position,” said Patrick Murphy, general manager of Cobb Africa. “With our focus on technical support, Jose will be an integral part of the growing Cobb Africa team providing assistance and adding real value to our customers.”
Jose Torres added: “I decided to join Cobb Africa because of the great potential for the African poultry industry. This is a key market, and I welcome the opportunity to work in a different country, with different culture and language.”
Cobb Africa was formed in 2009 to supply and service the Sub Saharan African market except South Africa. Now active in over 18 countries, Cobb Africa continues to grow the Cobb brand and market Cobb products across this fast developing region.
