The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 1 dated 26 June to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

It describes three outbreaks of Newcastle disease, starting between 12 and 23 June and all in the region of Lefkosia. In total, 135,500 birds were affected; 17,368 of which died and the rest have been destroyed. All the birds were broilers, which showed increased mortality and/or clinical signs and had post-mortem lesions consistent with Newcastle disease.

One of the farms affected is just 100 metres away from three houses of the first outbreak, while another belongs to the same farm.
