Before, the start of holy month of Ramazan, chicken meat was sold at Rs. 270 to 290 per kg while live chicken was sold at Rs. 175 to 190 per kg, Business Recorder reports.

Live chicken is now available at Rs. 135-140 per kg, while chicken meat is being sold at the rate of Rs. 215 to 220 per kg.

Chicken stall holders at G-7 Sasta Bazaar said that prices would further decrease in the coming days since poultry traders have come upon some good chicken stocks.

They reported that chicken demand has been sliding during Ramazan and it is for this reason that rates have been reduced.
