Certificate presented to Avicol S.A. from the World Animal Health Organization of compartmentalization for being free of Newcastle disease

Three years of intense work were required to gain the certification verifying that the company is free of highly pathogenic Newcastle disease. Strict biosecurity procedures, over ten years of epidemiological studies, strict quality control and enforcement of company procedures were all implemented to gain this achievement.

Close cooperation with the government body in charge of animal regulations, I.C.A. (Colombian Agricultural Institute), was another major contribution to the success of the project. Colombia has a goal of eradication of highly pathogenic Newcastle disease by 2025 which will require the joint efforts of the industry and the Colombian government.

Avicol S.A. has a leading participation in both the Colombia and Ecuador layer markets. Hy-Line Customers consistently achieve some of the best performance results in the world due to high quality chicks and excellent technical service provided by Avicol S.A.
