The notification means that national state support will be CZK45 million (US$865,000) more than last year.

Ministers have announced that the biggest sum of money will go into ‘improving the situation’ in pig and poultry, where they say it is most needed.

Agriculture Minister, Miroslav Toman, said: "A grant of 570 million crowns [US$10.96 million] is being put into pig and poultry subsidy and bee keepers and growers as these are the areas that need it most."
