According to The Hindu, in a release the civic body has said that the shop owners should not sell chicken in carry bags and should dispose of the waste in a safe manner and not dump the same in the open.

The Corporation was forced to issue the warning after it came to light that many poultry shop owners did not abide by the rules.

The owners should dump the waste only in the vehicles the Corporation had earmarked for the purpose.
