Brazilian Chicken Meat Prices Down in October
BRAZIL - The prices of chicken meat and live animals fell sharply in October in all regions of the country, according to the Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics (CEPEA).

The drop in prices is mainly because of a decrease in demand.
As expected by players of the sector, high levels of broiler prices have been discouraging consumption in the retail market.
In the short-term, players surveyed by CEPEA say that there are no expectations of major price recoveries, given that sales are typically reduced in the second fortnight of the month.
