Management Control of Poultry Farms in Entre Rios

ARGENTINA - The National Service for Health and Food Quality (SENASA) held operational management control on two poultry farms located in the cities of San Jose and Columbus in the province of Entre Rios.

The operation verified compliance with good manufacturing practices and implementation of national and international regulations, and conducted a review of documentation and a tour of the facilities in order to verify their operating conditions.

On 5 November, the SENASA entourage visited an official establishment located in the Park Industrial city of San Jose in the province of Entre Rios, with systems under hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) and ISO 9000 certification.

Management control proceeded on 6 November in the town of Columbus, where SENASA inspected the plant that processes the viscera, feathers and bones derived from slaughtered poultry which are transformed into high-value raw materials for animal feed.
