Russian Mission Approves of Brazilian Poultry Establishments10 December 2013
BRAZIL - A mission comprising animal health authorities from Russia recently visited Brazilian meat establishments and have reported that the latter's agricultural defense system is in tune with that of Russia's.
The Russian authorities inspected establishments producing beef, pork and poultry.
According to the Coordinator-General Inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), Luiz Marcelo Araújo, the technicians did not find any weak points in the agricultural defense system.
"The balance of the mission was very positive. The Russians praised the work done by professionals in processing plants, farms and laboratories, and compared our system to their defense," said Mr Araujo.
