Trade expert Aditya Mishra told The Hindu Business Line that fresh arrivals in the markets of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar from South is putting some pressure on egg while there is no particular reason behind the marginal fall in broiler. Traders expect that market may witness some good buying in the coming days and the prices of poultry products may improve, said market experts.

Poultry feed prices remained unchanged on steady input cost.

A steady trend has prevailed in the market following a range bound trend in the key ingredients of poultry feed, said Aditya Mishra.

In the physical market, soya meal improved by Rs 300 and sold at Rs 34,600 a tonne, while Bajra moved up by Rs 200 and was at Rs 13,600 a quintal.

Di-calcium phosphate was unchanged at Rs 34.60 a kg, MBM increased by 10 paisa and sold at Rs 31.80 a kg while Maize improved by Rs 10 and was at Rs 1,490-1,500 a quintal. DRB went up by Rs 100 and sold at Rs 7,500, Rice bran oil was at Rs 55 a kg, while Mustard De-oiled Cake eased by Rs 100 and was at Rs 14,700 a tonne.

Broiler concentrate quoted at Rs 2,010 for a 50-kg bag while Broiler Starter Mash sold at Rs 1,550 for a 50 kg bag.

Pre-lay mash sold at Rs 1,040 for a 50-kg bag. “Layer concentrate 25 per cent” was at Rs 1,480 for a 50-kg bag while “Layer concentrate 35 per cent” sold at Rs 1,165 for a 50-kg bag.

Broiler witnessed some correction, moved down by Rs 3 to Rs 86-87 a kg, Egg eased by 2 paisa and was at Rs 4, while Chick went for Rs 25, was unchanged.
