Pakistan Focuses on Better Poultry Disease Control

PAKISTAN - High-level meetings are being held to control diseases in the poultry sector.

A meeting of the Standing Committee of the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) for National Disease Control was held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore on 28 December, reports The News of Pakistan.

According to a press release issued, PPA President, Raza Mahmood Khursand, chaired the meeting while UVAS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Talat Naseer Pasha, Standing Committee for National Disease Control Convener, Mustafa Kamal, and researchers from government and private sectors attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed preventive measures against the poultry diseases, and the participants gave various suggestions to prevent diseases. It was decided that the researchers would present their research papers on the poultry diseases in the next meeting of the committee.
