The event is an ideal platform to exchange best practise, expertise, experience and information in order to promote knowledge transfer and standardise the quality of veterinary advice across the Grandparent (GP) teams in Europe. The European vets who attended the meeting are engaged with the various Aviagen companies across Europe to provide veterinary services to local markets spanning the pan-European customer base.

During the Forum, vaccination and monitoring programmes were compared to try and understand the differences and look for opportunities for improvements. Lively discussions also took place looking at the number of different disease incidences and case studies for interesting disease situations.

Dan Pearson, Aviagen Veterinary Health Director, said: "These types of meetings are an important mechanism for sharing experiences and helping to ensure that the best quality veterinary advice is given to our businesses across Europe. The contacts made also help to provide a mechanism for ongoing exchanges that will help offer solutions to difficult veterinary problems should they arise in the future."
