Times of Zambia reports that a tray of eggs, which was recently selling at K18, has risen to about? K20 with producers attributing the rise to low production due to? falling temperatures and an increase in production costs.

The production of eggs is only expected to increase around September ?with the onset of the hot season as coldness also increases input ?costs since farmers have to invest more in electricity or other?sources of energy, with a ripple effect on the prices.
