Last week, a woman, aged 43, was struck by an electric shock while cleaning "Gala Virove", a poultry farm owned by Gala Chicken Farm Ltd, with a pressure washer.

According to the Labour Inspectorate, the woman and her husband, who also worked at the site, did not sign written labour contracts.

Several others were also found to be employed on site with no written contract. The ongoing probe is meant to establish whether there are others at the farm who have engaged in undeclared work.

The Labour Inspectorate reports that Gala Chicken Farm EOOD underwent an inspection back in November 2013 and inspectors uncovered several violations during the probe.
