The event celebrated Arbor Acres' leading position in the broiler industry for more than 81 years whilst looking at the technical and genetic innovations that are still going on today.

The two-day programme was focused on the Arbor Acres performance around the world with speakers from several markets highlighting their experience with both the slow and more recently the notable advantages of the fast feather Arbor Acres Plus product.

More product options for Arbor Acres are planned from the diverse gene pool that is available from within the company.

The initial speaker was the Aviagen® CEO who gave his view of the strengths, investment and attributes for company success.

An Aviagen Update highlighting competitive performance worldwide and production expansion activities was delivered before a presentation on 'Arbor Acres Today and Tomorrow' from R&D linked perfectly to the third presentation on 'Arbor Acres Portfolio in Asia'.

A view of 'Global Planning and Supply' together with what goes into 'Logistics, Exports and Imports' rounded out the morning.

Arbor Acres progress in the Middle East preceded an entertaining display of ‘Psychological Illusion’ given by an internationally recognized magician which completed the first day.

The second half of the programme included 'Bio-security and The Bottom Line' and an intriguing look at product performance from a distributor entitled 'Fast Feather in Asia CP Taiwan'.

'Cost-Effective Nutrition', an important topic in a region where feed cost remain high was followed by Arbor Acres in Latin America and a very special personal story of ‘My Life with Arbor Acres’ from an executive with 44 years in the company.

A close up of India and what it took to develop Aviagen India concluded the association agenda.

Lui Chih-Cheng, Senior Executive VP, CP Taiwan said: “I liked the meeting very much. Aviagen genetics, the new fast feather product and the performance are very important in the region. The topics on nutrition, genetics and veterinary help refresh our knowledge as well.”

Mr Chandrashaker, Owner SKM commented: “The association meeting was very enjoyable and helpful to me. It provides an unequalled opportunity to discuss business and learn from others.”

Marc Baribault, Arbor Acres Vice President, Asia added: “My perception is that people attending really observed what the speakers were saying and several questions asked in the evening supported that view.

"We believe the theme worked and was well supported by the detailed customer presentations and their strong field performance with Arbor Acres Plus. It all added to the interest and impact of the programme.”
