Each year Cargill gives awards to suppliers for different aspects of business — completion of order, customer support and bringing value – with Cobb-Vantress gaining all three together with the title for the ‘Best Supplier Award Cargill Central America.’

"After four years we have found for the first time a supplier/partner that meets all the requirements needed to earn the title of Supplier of the Year," commented Carlos Larios, purchasing manager of Cargill Central America.

"It Is a great honour to win these awards from such a leading chicken producer – and on our first entry," said Robin Jarquin, Cobb sales manager for Central America. "It Is very gratifying to see the genetic progress we’re making with the Cobb500 fully reflected in the results Cargill are achieving in the field."

The awards cover the 2012 — 2013 for supplies to Cargill operations in Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
