The workshop was designed to engage the audience by holding a half day of presentations and then it was followed by an open session to improve understanding, initiate discussion, seek solutions and improved management practices for the customers in attendance.

The motivation for the workshop revolved around optimizing the production of fertile hatching eggs and then focusing on how to care for hatching eggs to help achieve the best hatchability, followed by management of the day-old chicks, making sure they get a good start from placement through to the completion of brooding.

The specific presentations addressed key details on the following:

  • Practical Nutrition in the Broiler Breeder
  • How to Maximize Parent Stock Performance
  • Egg Handling from Nest to Hatchery.

The presentations were given by Ross technical specialists and service managers to provide the right management advice for the open workshop and to serve as reference material on return to the company.

Participants at the nutrition workshop represented a number of the major companies including CP Vietnam, Belga, CJ Vina, Dabaco Vietnam, Asiafac Binh Minh, RTD, Podimex, Luong My, Ba Vi, Vina Feed and Hoa Binh.

"I believe we had a very good workshop today, commented Mr. Van, P&N Agro Business Company, LTD. This kind of workshop is helpful in bringing knowledge and better understanding to our customers so they can have the knowledge to manage their feed and their birds to maximize performance.

"Customers participated well and asked questions showing that they want to learn more about Ross. If Aviagen continues doing this in the future it will be a big help to our customers and the industry."
