Sneha Fresh to Set up Broiler Processing Plant in Hyderabad

INDIA - South Indian poultry producer, Sneha Fresh Chicken, will be setting up 6,000-broilers-per-hour automated broiler processing plant on a greenfield site in Hyderabad.

The company has teamed up with Iceland based equipment manufacturer, Marel to install state of the art poultry processing technology in the new plant.

With an initial capacity of 6,000 broilers per hour, the plant capacity can be increased to 12,000 birds, Marel said.

The new processing plant will, when fully operational, give a large boost to local and regional industrial poultry processing capacity, Marel added.

The greenfield project incorporates various solutions for high speed automatic evisceration and giblet processing and includes the first Stork VO-20 RS opening machine, the first Stork Nuova 24 evisceration system and the first system for automated feet processing for India.

With this, Sneha Fresh Chicken can provide Hyderabad region with a wide selection of high-quality fresh and frozen poultry products, whole broilers, various cuts and fillet products.

In India, the wet market still represents around 95 per cent of all poultry production.
