Novus International, Inc., in its dedicated efforts of providing sustainable solutions to animal protein producers, was an exhibitor at the 2015 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, Georgia. Sponsored by the US Poultry & Egg Association, American Feed Industry Association and North American Meat Institute, IPPE is the world's largest annual feed industry event of its kind. This year, the expo attracted an estimated 30,000 attendees, one of the largest turnouts in the show’s history.

Attendees visited the Novus booth to learn more about Novus’s six major product platforms – methionine, chelated trace minerals, enzymes, eubiotics, feed quality and pigments. The Novus booth not only served as a hub for information, but also allowed Novus experts to connect with customers and other industry professionals.

This year at IPPE, Novus hosted two customer-focused 'Novus Forums'. The Forums included discussions which focused on a variety of topics. An overarching message at the Forums was that optimal nutrition translates into optimal performance, which in turn, maximises profits.

Dr Howard Simmins, enzymes expert and director at InSci Associates presented 'Innovative Enzymes to Optimize Performance and Reduce Feed Cost'. He explained to attendees what makes a “best generation” feed enzyme, and how they can revolutionise an operation’s feed costs while optimising broiler performance with proper diet formulation.

Dr Jeffery Escobar, senior manager of swine nutrition research at Novus, discussed the advantages of using cutting-edge enzyme technologies to support operations.

Robert Pottgüter, nutritionist at Lohmann Tierzucht and Dr Karen Wedekind, senior manager of pet nutrition at Novus presented 'Optimising Breeder Performance through Advanced Mineral Nutrition'. The experts discussed the challenges currently facing the breeder segment, and how nutritional solutions can alleviate this pressure. Areas of breeder longevity, hatchability and progeny quality were also explored.

The company’s longstanding dedication to poultry science and industry-leading research in chelated trace minerals, specifically MINTREX®, was also highlighted at the expo. Novus celebrated the 10-year anniversary of MINTREX at their annual cocktail party.
