Of the 17 poultry farms within one kilometre of the affected farm in Barneveld (Gelderland), none has tested positive for the bird flu virus. This is evident from initial studies of the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) and the Central Veterinary Institute (CVI).

The investigation is due to be completed on 16 March.
