International Poultry Council Welcomes New Associate Member

GLOBAL - Morris & Associates has joined the International Poultry Council (IPC) as an Associate Member.

Morris & Associates, an innovator in the design and manufacture of chilling equipment used by poultry processors in the US and abroad, was founded more than 60 years ago and holds numerous patents in design for poultry chilling equipment.

The company is known for its energy-efficient immersion chilling systems that employ application-specific heat exchangers that combine optimal chilling and moisture control.

Morris chilling systems are available for a variety of applications for whole birds, giblets and parts, including continuous on-line pathogen-elimination systems for parts and whole birds to help meet global standards.

David Maw, president of international business and a member of the senior management team, will serve as the company’s IPC representative. The corporate headquarters of the employee stock-owned company is in Garner, North Carolina.

Poultry industry associations in 24 countries are members of the IPC, which was formed in 2005. The organisation also has 40 associate members representing poultry processors, equipment manufacturers, animal health providers, genetics producers and other companies that benefit from a vibrant global poultry industry.
