Ross Progress in Sudan Highlighted at Annual Poultry Expo23 March 2015
SUDAN - Aviagen® and INMAA for Poultry promoted the Ross® brand at the 8th annual Sudan Poultry Expo, held recently at the International Fairs Ground Khartoum.
The rapid progress of the Sudan poultry market over the last decade was evident at the event, with over 500 brands being showcased.
More than 250 international and local exhibitors attended what is widely regarded as the leading Sub-Saharan African poultry, livestock and agriculture exhibition.
Bulent Tanyildizi, Aviagen’s International Commercial Manager for Ross and Aviagen’s International Technical Manager for Ross, Dr Ibrahim Ibrahim, demonstrated the performance potential of the Ross 308, the market leading bird in Sudan alongside INMAA for Poultry, which represents Ross Grandparent operation in Sudan. The presence of Aviagen staff on stand was a source of considerable interest amongst delegates.
INMAA, which also represents Ross’ sister company LTZ, is a joint venture of Wadi Group, Ross’ Egypt distributor and Elnefeidi Group of Sudan, who were also represented at the event by Tony Freiji, CEO and Amin Badhhir Elnefeidi, President, respectively.
Discussing the response of attendees at the exhibition, Mr Tanyildizi said: “We were thrilled to see such high interest from Sudanese poultry breeders towards the INMAA stand and the positive feedback we received regarding the satisfaction of customers with the performance of both Ross parent stock and broilers in Sudan.”
