Further Two Outbreaks of Avian Flu Confirmed in Taiwan

TAIWAN - Two more outbreaks of H5N2 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) have been confirmed in Taiwan.

The two outbreak affected a susceptible population of 59220 birds on two farms. There were 9856 cases, and all the affected birds died from the disease. The remaining birds were destroyed to prevent the disease spreading.

The cases occurred in Yunlin county.
