More Avian Flu Found in Russian Wild Birds
RUSSIA - There have been three more outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Russia.Four rooks, a mallard duck, a bird from the Anatidae family of ducks, geese and swans, and a bird from the crane family Gruidae died from the disease.
The outbreak was of the H5N1 subtype, and occurred in the Novosibirskaya region.
