VIET NAM - There has been another outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Viet Nam.

By: The outbreak was of the H5N1 serotype and affected 2685 birds out of a susceptible backyard population of 2701. 1500 birds died and another 1201 were destroyed to prevent the disease spreading
The outbreak occurred in Kon Tum province.
