Florian has qualifications in plant and animal biology alongside a certificate in poultry management from the Avipôle Formation in Ploufragan. He will continue to be based in France but his key responsibility for Arbor Acres will cover 20 countries in North and West African markets where French is predominantly spoken.

Florian represented the Arbor Acres brand at the Aviagen stand at the SPACE 2015 exhibition in Rennes, France. As part of the exhibition programme, the Arbor Acres team delivered a short seminar to existing and potential customers on how to manage Arbor Acres broilers and breeders in hot weather conditions.

Discussing his appointment and the workshop, Florian said: “I am thrilled to have joined Aviagen’s Arbor Acres team for the Middle East and Africa and SPACE 2015 provided me with an ideal platform to meet existing and potential customers and Ministry representatives from various countries. It was pleasing to see so many representatives from North and West Africa visiting the stand and, having worked primarily in the French domestic market, I’m very keen to expand my responsibilities to an international level.”

“Shadowing Alain Silvin, who will retire early 2016, has given me the chance to learn so much, not only from his wealth of experience but also through his relationships with customers. Working and delivering the seminar alongside Alain was a highlight for me. It was a fantastic opportunity to discuss Aviagen and how Arbor Acres products can flourish in hot climates.”

Michael Garden, Business Manager, Middle East and Africa, added: “Florian’s experience and attitude will make him a great addition to the team. The skills and levels of expertise he brings will help us to continue the growth of Arbor Acres, which is quickly becoming the bird of choice in the region.”
